No Restriction in Hanging the Photos of Martyrs in the Walls

The photographs of the Martyr’s who were cadres in the Liberation Tigers organization, who fought against the Sri Lankan security forces, can be hanged in the walls of the houses of their parents. There are no restrictions in this regard, according to the Kilinochchi district commander Brigadier Renuka Rowell.

He conveyed this information while speaking at the meeting with the people of the Murikandy area, conveyed to discuss the land issue.

The army had constructed a few houses for some people of the area, and the people who settled in those houses, fixed nails and hanged some photographs in the first place, commander of the Kilinochchi district Brigadier Renuka Rowell said.

Do you know whose photographs they were? They were the photographs of the Martyr’s in the Liberation Tiger uniform. They were the photographs of those who fought against the government forces. Though they fought against us, how we can refuse that they were the children of the Tamil people, and I have ordered that no soldier should prevent such hanging of photographs, the commander added.
