Dilrukshan’s head has been shaved and he is lying in a coma state, and is very smelly, says his mother and is demanding he be transferred to Vavuniya.
Muthurasa Dilrukshan, who is said to have been admitted to the Anuradhapura hospital for treatment in a coma stage, is actually admitted at the Ragama hospital, and not at the Anuradhapura hospital, according to his mother.
We contacted yesterday morning, and came to know that our online news report yesterday on the above issue had carried some wrong details.
We give below the true facts of the above story.
Muthurasa Reesa (47 years) a mother of five children told us that she saw her son Dilrukshan yesterday at the Ragama hospital. She also told us that her son Dilrukshan had gone to Saudi in 2006 and returned three years later to their village Illuppakadavai.
When he wanted to go to Saudi once again the Tigers did not allow him to go, therefore to escape from the clutches of the Tigers Dilrukshan had boarded a boat, but was arrested by the Sri Lankan navy.
There were contacts with him for about two years but from the third year onwards all contact with him was lost, and now when news of Dilrukshan were reported in the media she had gone to the Ragama hospital and had seen her son. Muthurasa Reesa disclosed this to the GTN today.
Dilrukshan’s head has been shaved and he is lying in a coma state, and is very smelly, says his mother and is demanding he be transferred to Vavuniya.
My son had gone to Saudi and had come back after 3 years. When he wanted to go to Saudi once again the tigers did not allow him to go back, and he tried to go by a boat stealthily when he was arrested by the navy, and the defense sector now says that he is an important tiger cadre, says his mother.
Dilrukshan is now 29 and he was 26 when he was arrested, and is still a bachelor, according to his mother Reesa.

This is our earlier report. Some errors are seen in the report which incidentally was given to our reporter by Dilrukshan’s relatives. We apologize for the mistakes. We contacted Dilrukshan’s mother Muthurasa Reesa and have come out with the correct version of the story.
A youth admitted to the Anuradhapura hospital for treatment in a coma stage is said to have gone missing five years ago. He is identified as Muthurasa Dilrukshan aged 22 years and hailing from Iluppakadavai in Mannar. Dilrukshan’s parents who had visited the Anuradhapura hospital today had identified him as their son who had gone missing five years ago.
He had gone missing in the year 2006 when he proceeded to Colombo to go abroad. His parents had searched everywhere for him and had lost hopes when he was not found anywhere, and abandoned the search
In the meantime details of a youth admitted to the Anuradhapura hospital for treatment in a coma stage had been reported in the media. His parents after hearing the news had gone to the Anuradhapura hospital to see for themselves, and had found their lost son.
The parents of the youth were very sad at the fact that their son was very close to them, detained at the Vavuniya prison though they could not hear anything about him. Now at a time when they were struggling to fight for survival, they say god has brought him to them
Meanwhile Nimalarubun who was killed in the attack had been arrested from an information and detained without any charges filed.
