The Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) will meet this morning to decide which political party to back to form the Eastern Provincial Council.
The SLMC has not taken a decision as of now but Party Leader and Justice Minister Rauf Hakeem has summoned the seven Councilors of the party, who were successful at the polls, for a meeting at his Colombo residence for an important discussion, Media Coordinator Dr. Hafeez told The Island last night.
The Leader had told Hassan Ali that he wanted to see all seven Councillors, who had won seats, at his residence. Some of the deliberations will also revolve around whom to back in forming the EPC.
Minister Hakeem was not available for comment as he was at the Bakeer Marker commemoration lecture.
