An Army captain of Seeduwa Army Camp infected: 150 in the camp quarantined

A captain of the Army Special Task Force camp in Seeduwa has been infected with coronavirus and 150 others in the camp have been self-quarantined, Suresh Kumara, the Administrative Public Health Inspector at the Health Medical Officer’s office in Seeduwa said.

The official said Army officers are also among the quarantined personnel and no one in the camp is allowed to leave or no one is allowed to enter.

He also said that army personnel who return from the holidays are barred from entering the camp.

The PHI said the infected officer was subjected to a PCR test as he was showing COVID-19 symptoms.
