A cow that was given as livelihood assistance to a poverty stricken female headed household has been stolen overnight and slaughtered for meat.
The cow sheltered at the premises of her temporary house has been stolen and taken to Jeyanthi Nagar Meenatshi Amman temple where it has been slaughtered for meat and the residuals have been left there on 19.07.2018.
The cow that was given to her, who is the mother of two children, who is a sister of the three martyrs and who is the wife of the one who was disappeared, has been stolen and slaughtered like this for meat.
She, who has been living under the poverty line, was given this cow as the livelihood assistance by the Jaffna based Charity Organization.
