Complaint lodged at Police Headquarters demanding arrest of former CM Wigneswaran

A complaint has been lodged at the Police Headquarters and the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) today demanding the arrest of Former Northern Province Chief Minister CV Wigneswaran.

Dan Priyasad, head of Nawa Sinhale National Movement has lodged the complaint at the Police HQ claiming that Mr. Wigneswaran has created disunity among the communities and requesting an investigation, police sources said.

The Complainant has said that the former Chief Minister of the Northern Province CV Wigneswaran issued a statement last week stating that no person has the right to define Sri Lanka as a Buddhist country. He has further claimed that Mr. Wigneswaran from time to time makes statements that cause communal disunity.
