Families of people reported missing during the war spoke at side events held at the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) in Geneva on the sidelines of the annual sessions.
An urgent appeal has been made to the President of UN Human Rights Council Ambassador Vojislav Šuc, to take steps to ensure the safety of six Tamil mothers of the disappeared when they return to Sri Lanka after giving statements in Geneva.
The women have appealed to the UNHRC for help find their children who disappeared in Sri Lanka and other thousands of Tamils who disappeared over the years.
