As usual, I was videoing the place by positioning at a little distance from the place where the incident took place. At that time, a one in civil cloth approached me and introduced himself as the policeman from Koppai Police Station, asked me to leave from there. I was continuing my job after telling him that I am a journalist. But, he suddenly punched my mouth. I fell down as the attack on me was unexpected. But I managed to stand somehow. I left there as bleeding started from my mouth owing to the attack on me”, journalist Nadarajah Kugaraj stated.

He, who is now admitted at Jaffna Teaching Hospital, is receiving treatment.
