The number of patients infected with the novel coronavirus in Sri Lanka rose to 86 as of 06.00 AM today.
Minister of Health Pavithra Wanniarachchi said 9 new patients were detected with the virus yesterday.
A total of 222 persons are under observation at various hospitals across the country on suspicion of having contracted the virus, she added.
A Chinese national, who was the first to be detected with the virus in Sri Lanka, has recovered and has been discharged.
