SLFP should be committed to give new government two-thirds majority – Sirisena

The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) should be committed to support the new government under President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to obtain a two-thirds majority at the next general election, SLFP Chairman and former President Maithripala Sirisena said today.

He was speaking at a progress review meeting of the party held with the electoral organizers at the party headquarters today (11).

Mr. Sirisena pointed out that the new government should have a two-thirds majority in the next Parliamentary Elections for the new President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa to develop and build a prosperous country.

He stressed that the Sri Lanka Freedom Party should commit to work together in the next general election for the goal.
