Tamil Nadu fishermen have accused the Sri Lankan Navy of attacking them while they were fishing near Katchatheevu.
The Indians claimed that the Navy had cut their fishing nets and chased them away.
The fishermen alleged that some 3,000 fishermen from Rameswaram were surrounded by the Sri Lankan Navy yesterday (Saturday) near Katchatheevu.
The Navy had then reportedly threatened them at gunpoint and chased them away.
