The Tamil Makkal Viduthalai Pullikal (TMVP) led by Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan alias Pillayan, has decided to support Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna Presidential candidate Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
Addressing the media today TMVP General Secretary P. Prashanthan said that the TMVP feels Rajapaksa will rebuild the Eastern Province.
Pillayan is currently in remand prison over the murder of Tamil politician Joseph Pararajasingham.
