Premier Ranil stated that actions would be taken with regard to the investigations carried out by the TID against two ex-tiger cadres belonging to a political party namely “Crusaders for Democracy”.
Premier Ranil who went to Jaffna held a special discussion with regard to the development of the Jaffna district at Jaffna District Secretariat yesterday (28/05).
During this event, Mavai Senathirajah, the TNA parliamentarian and the leader of ITAK, stated that all of the in this country have rights to commemorate those who died in this soil but two of the members of a political party namely “Crusaders for Democracy” have been investigated by the Terrorism Investigation Department following the Mullivaikal Remembrance Day.
“Ex-tiger cadres were integrated with society after being rehabilitated. They then turned to democratic path and they have been living thereby. In addition, the political party of them namely “Crusaders for Democracy” is being as one of the member parties of the Tamil National Alliance”, Mavai Senathirajah added.
Further he asked the Prime Minister Ranil Wicremasinghe to take actions with regard the investigations carried out by the TID against two ex-tiger cadres. Responding to that Ranil told Mavai Senethirajah that he would take actions with regard to this by contacting the TID.
