All leave for the Police in Jaffna has been cancelled from today in order to curb crime in the area.
The Police said that leave has been cancelled for two weeks with effect from today.
Several crimes had been reported in Jaffna in the recent past and the cancellation of the leave is in order to use the full Police force in the area to apprehend the criminals.
