Hunger strike staged by the people of Keppapulavu native village demanding the immediate release of the 482 acres of lands still being occupied by the occupying Sri Lankan Armed Forces for 3 days came to an end yesterday.
However, attention drawn struggle will continue, according to the people who are engaged in this protest. Following the discussion the people had with the parliamentarians Sritharan, Shanthi Sriskandarajah and the Deputy Chairman of NPC Kamaleshwaran at the place where the protest was being staged, this decision has bee announced.
It is noted that the attaention drawn struggle staged on 1st of this month demanding the immediate release of the native lands of the people belonging to this area has transformed as the hunger strike since last Saturday.
