An attempt of seizing the Tamils’ native lands and the paddy lands around it located at Sivanthamurippukkulam located at the surrounding of Mullaitivu- Kokkuthoduvai, Kottaikerni has been halted day before yesterday (2018-07-30).
Some Sinhalese people attempted to seize the Sivanthamurippukulam and the paddy lands owned by Tamils. Kokkuthoduvai Farmers’ Organization makes this issue known to NPC member Raviharan and the Department of Agrarian Development, Mullaitivu.
Subsequently, NPC member Raviharan and Krishnan, the assistant commissioner of the Department of Agrarian Development, Mullaitivu, Jagannath and other officials have swiftly gone to the scene and halted the attempt of seizing the Tamils’ native lands.
Prathapan, the Divisional Secretary of Karaithuraipatru and V.K.P. Jayanatha, the regional planning manager of Mahaweli Develpmental Authority have also gone to the scene.
