Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa said he was not informed whether the People’s Bank was blacklisted by China.
Rajapaksa made these remars while spreaking to the press after visiting the Temple of Tooth Relic in Kandy.
He also met the Mahanayake theras of the Malwatte and Asgiriya chapters and informed them about the upcoming budget.
Speaking to the reporters in Kandy, Rajapaksa said he invoked the blessings of the Maha Sangha to present a people-friendly budget in November.
However, Rajapaksa was reluctant to share his views about China blacklisting People’s Bank over the dispute of fertiliser imports.
