Former Eastern Province Governor MLAM Hizbullah has arrived at the Terrorist Investigations Division to provide a statement.
A video of the former Governor meeting several Arab nationals, on the 22nd of April, the day after the Easter Sunday attacks, recently circulated in the media.
Accordingly, Hizbullah has been summoned to provide a statement in connection with the investigation initiated by the Terrorist Investigation Division (TID) on the suspicious discussions with two Arab nationals at a hotel in Kalkudah while curfew was imposed.
According to the call, Hizbullah arrived at the Terrorist Investigation Division around 9.45 this morning.
He was recently summoned to the Parliamentary Select Committee to investigate the Easter Sunday attacks and the events that followed.
Hizbullah resigned as governor of the Eastern Province in response to the allegations made against him.
