A kite which in the design of a fighter tank from in the color of LTTE’s uniform have flown at Valvai soil. When that kite was flying, the people who gathered there have clapped and cheered up. A Kite competition has been conducted yesterday at Uthayasooriyan Sea shore to mark “Thaipongal”.
In this competition, different designs of kites have been flown. A kite on which the phrase “Do or die” engraved, a kite on which the name of “Ankayatkanni” (The first Female Sea Black Tiger) engraved, kite in the shape of fighter tank on which red and yellow flags hoisted, kite in the shape of giant ant, kite in the shape of a woman sewing in sewing machine, kite in the shape of kitchen and kite in the shape of playground have flown in this competition conducted to mark “Thaipongal”.
