Former State Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine, Faizal Cassim says that the former Muslim ministers who resigned from their portfolios have decided to take up the ministerial posts again.
Speaking to the media in Colombo this morning, the MP said the decision to resign from the ministerial portfolios was taken to ensure the safety of the people and not to create any racial issues.
Following the defeat of the no-confidence motion against the government yesterday, they have decided to take up the portfolios again.
Faizal said President had also agreed that they should take up the ministerial portfolios again during the discussion held with the President.
He also said that former Industry and Commerce Minister Rishad Bathiudeen will take up the portfolio again as his name is mostly cleared.
