Several killed following bus and van accident in Jaffna

Several people were killed in Jaffna following an accident involving a bus and a van.

The police said that at least 11 people were confirmed dead so far.

The accident occurred when the passenger bus collided head on with the van which was transporting a group of pilgrims to Jaffna from the south.

Police said the dead included 4 women.
