The Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) has decided not to accept Ministerial posts at the moment.
At a meeting today the SLMC had decided it will not accept Ministerial portfolios until issues faced by the Muslims are addressed.
All Muslim Ministers resigned from their portfolios in the Government in early June.
All Muslim State and Deputy Ministers had also tendered their resignations.
However, later last month Parliamentarians Kabir Hashim and Abdul Haleem, who had resigned as Ministers in the cabinet, took oaths as Ministers once again.
The Muslim Ministers resigned saying they are giving the Government one month to ensure the authorities investigate the allegations made against some Muslims Ministers over the Easter Sunday attacks.
The former Ministers had said that they will continue to support the Government and would expect the Government to protect the Muslim community.
