The Sri Lankan community in Sydney staged a demonstration today against President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.
The demonstrators held placards during the protest written in English and Sinhalese.
The protesters demanded an end to nepotism, corruption and discrimination in Sri Lanka.
Similar protests have already been staged in other parts of the world as well.
A mass protest is currently underway at Galle Face demanding the resignation of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and his Cabinet.
The protesters are also demanding a change in the political system in Sri Lanka.
The protests began after Sri Lanka plunged into a serious economic crisis.
The crisis saw a shortage of fuel, gas and other essential items in Sri Lanka.
