Steps were taken by the Ministry of Defense to immediately release a portion of lands still being occupied by the occupying Sri Lankan military at Paravipanchan in Killinochchi, according to the Killinochchi GA Sundaram Arumainayaham.
The land owners of Paravipanchan handed over a memorandum requesting the release of their lands on 13th of this month. When they met with the Killinochchi GA with the intention of receiving the response in this regard on 25th of July at 10AM, the GA responded like this.
Following are further stated by him;
Steps have been taken to release a portion of lands being occupied by the occupying Sri Lankan military at Paravipanchan in Killinochchi. Therefore, the particular lands are going to be immediately released after considering the land documents immediately.
