The relatives of those who were disappeared in Vavuniya district have been staging continuous protest for 817 days in search of their relatives who were either handed over to Sri Lankan military or abducted.
Meanwhile, the people have been staged a symbolic hunger protest for commemorating those who were killed in the genocide committed against Tamils.
The relatives of those who were disappeared gathered at the vicinity of Vattuvakal General Hall where they have staged hunger strike since morning till 4 PM.
Journalist Sumathan have brought their hunger protest to an end by providing them liquid foods. Then, they lit the common flame and paid their tribute to those who were killed in Tamil genocide.
Following to that, they have published the memorandum, which is going to be handed over at the UN Office located at Jaffna tomorrow, has been published to the Medias today.
