Memorial Week of Tamil Genocide in which several thousands of Tamils were killed have been commenced yesterday at Mullivaikal.
These commemorative events have been commenced by M.K.Sivajilingam who stated that the memorial events should be conducted at 21 places of the 8 districts in the North and East within 6 days.
Following the Memorial Week of Tamil Genocide was commenced at Mullivaikal, memorial event has been conducted at around 12.30PM at the Chencholai premises where innocent students had been brutally killed in the air bombardment executed by the Kfir fighter of the Sri Lankan Air force.
Memorial events have taken place by lighting the flame of remembrance and paying floral tribute.
Many activists including ex-Provincial Northern Provincial Councilors M.K.Sivajilingam and Puvaneshwaran participated in this commemorative event.
