{"id":11091,"date":"2021-07-29T04:00:08","date_gmt":"2021-07-29T04:00:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/globaltamilnews.net\/english\/?p=11091"},"modified":"2021-07-29T04:00:10","modified_gmt":"2021-07-29T04:00:10","slug":"police-hunt-for-underage-domestic-workers-in-colpetty","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/globaltamilnews.net\/english\/police-hunt-for-underage-domestic-workers-in-colpetty\/","title":{"rendered":"Police hunt for underage domestic workers in Colpetty"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Police conducted a search operation for underage domestic workers in Colpetty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Police Spokesman, Senior Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Ajith Rohana said that the operation was conducted day before yesterday (Tuesday).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said that a similar operation was conducted in the Modara area day before yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Police Spokesman said that the special operation was conducted based on intelligence information received by the Police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said over 30 places were inspected in Colpetty and Modara day before yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">DIG Ajith Rohana said that similar operations will be conducted in other parts of Colombo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Police Spokesman said that recent incidents had revealed that underage children have been employed as domestic workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said that some of these underage domestic workers have faced abuse at the hands of their employers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Police said that if the public have information on underage domestic workers the information can be shared via 0112433333.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Courtesy: Colombo Gazette<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Police conducted a search operation for underage domestic workers in Colpetty.
