Wigneswaran said today the gangsters who call themselves the \u2018Aava\u2019 group operating in the North is \u2018politically-motivated and army-assisted\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>He told a news conference in Colombo that the group did not originate from among the Tamil community per se.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Wigneswaran said he was speaking to the media on behalf of his Tamil People\u2019s Council formed with the backing of the Jaffna-based civil society to advocate the rights of Tamils.<\/p>\n<p>He said the police had been directed to get to the bottom of this problem.<\/p>\n<p>Courtesy: Daily Mirror<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Northern Province Chief Minister C.V.
