{"id":5831,"date":"2019-03-27T14:22:01","date_gmt":"2019-03-27T14:22:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/globaltamilnews.net\/english\/?p=5831"},"modified":"2019-03-27T14:22:01","modified_gmt":"2019-03-27T14:22:01","slug":"president-refuses-to-fully-implement-unhrc-proposals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/globaltamilnews.net\/english\/president-refuses-to-fully-implement-unhrc-proposals\/","title":{"rendered":"President refuses to fully implement UNHRC proposals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\">President Maithripala Sirisena today refused to fully implement proposals submitted to Sri Lanka by the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The President said that he will ensure any proposal which goes against the Constitution of the country is not implemented.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The President had said this while attending an event today.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Last week the UNHRC passed a Resolution on Sri Lanka titled \u201cPromoting reconciliation, accountability and human rights in Sri Lanka\u201d which gives Sri Lanka another two years to fully implement Resolution 30\/1 of October 2015.
