{"id":7529,"date":"2019-11-15T03:31:15","date_gmt":"2019-11-15T03:31:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/globaltamilnews.net\/english\/?p=7529"},"modified":"2019-11-15T03:31:15","modified_gmt":"2019-11-15T03:31:15","slug":"chinese-navy-ship-arrives-in-sri-lanka","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/globaltamilnews.net\/english\/chinese-navy-ship-arrives-in-sri-lanka\/","title":{"rendered":"Chinese Navy ship arrives in Sri Lanka"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt;line-height: 150%;font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif'\">A Chinese Navy ship arrived in Sri Lanka today on an official visit, the Sri Lanka Navy said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt;line-height: 150%;font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif'\">The People\u2019s Liberation Army Navy ship \u201cZhu Ke Zhen\u201d arrived at the port of Colombo today (14th November) on an official visit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt;line-height: 150%;font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif'\">The ship was ceremonially welcomed by the Sri Lanka Navy in accordance with Naval traditions on her arrival.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt;line-height: 150%;font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif'\">The Deputy Commander of Maritime Surveying Division of the People\u2019s Liberation Army Navy, Senior Captain Yang Boran and the Commanding Officer of the ship called on the Commander Western Naval Area, Rear Admiral Sumith Weerasinghe at the Western Naval Command Headquarters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt;line-height: 150%;font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif'\">They held cordial discussions on the matters of mutual interest and exchanged mementos to mark the occasion.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt;line-height: 150%;font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif'\">The Defence Attach\u00e9 of the Embassy of the People\u2019s Republic of China in Sri Lanka, Senior Colonel Xu Jianwei and officers of the ship were also present on this occasion.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt;line-height: 150%;font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif'\">People\u2019s Liberation Army Navy ship \u201cZhu Ke Zhen\u201d which is 129m in length has a displacement capacity of 4900 tons and has got a crew of 150 Naval personnel onboard.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt;line-height: 150%;font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif'\">During their 6 day visit, the ship\u2019s crew is scheduled to participate in several programmes organized by the Sri Lanka Navy and she will be departing for her next port of call on 19th November 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Chinese Navy ship arrived in Sri Lanka today on an official visit, the&hellip;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":7530,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"content-type":"","_lmt_disableupdate":"","_lmt_disable":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[2],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-7529","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-srilankan-news"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/globaltamilnews.net\/english\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/7529","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/globaltamilnews.net\/english\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/globaltamilnews.net\/english\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/globaltamilnews.net\/english\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/3"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/globaltamilnews.net\/english\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=7529"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/globaltamilnews.net\/english\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/7529\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/globaltamilnews.net\/english\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/7530"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/globaltamilnews.net\/english\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=7529"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/globaltamilnews.net\/english\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=7529"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/globaltamilnews.net\/english\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=7529"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
