Perera were among those who resigned.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt;line-height: 150%;font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif'\">\u201cRespecting the people\u2019s mandate, I officially resign as Minister of Highways and Road Development and Petroleum Resources Development. Further, I will be resigning as the Chairman of the United National Party with immediate effect,\u201d Kabir Hashim said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt;line-height: 150%;font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif'\">\u201cWhile respecting the mandate of the people of Sri Lanka, I have decided to resign from my position as the Minister of Digital Infrastructure and IT with immediate effect. It was a well fought battle @sajithpremadasa and the country needs your leadership at this critical time,\u2019 Ajith P.
