The journalists who were assassinated have been commemorated on the Media Freedom Day. In this commemoration organized by the Jaffna Press Club, tribute has been paid to the journalists, who were assassinated, by lighting the traditional lamps and sprinkling the flowers at the memorial built adjoining the Jaffna Court.
Jaffna Mayor Immanuel Arnold and the member of Northern Provincial Council Sivajilingam took part in this event.
