CID to investigate hate speech on social media

Necessary steps have been taken by the CID to conduct investigations on people who spread hate speech posts on social media, said the Police spokesperson Ruwan Gunasekare.

A special police unit has also been created to monitor hate speech on Social Media, such as Facebook and WhatsApp.
