People in huge numbers around the north and east are rushing to take part in the protest, demanding the protection of the legacies of Tamils, which is going to be staged at Kanniya in Trincomalee.
Meanwhile, the people on their way to take part in this protest are subjected security check ups severely and police and military have already been deployed there.
It is noteworthy that this protest is going to be staged in order to fiercely oppose the attempts being taken to establish a Buddhist temple after demolishing the Pillaiyar temple of Tamils.
