‘Leader of the Jathika Jana Balwegaya Anura Kumara Dissanayake said his party was planning to mobilize the entire nation to oust the present rule and requested the people to be prepared for that campaign.
Addressing a rally in Matara on Tuesday (28) he said the entire country would grind to a halt in couple of days due to the short-sighted decisions of the failed government. He said wrong decisions taken by incompetent elders was now ruining the future of the younger generation.
He said the schools had already been closed and the functioning of the government offices crippled.
“The functioning of courts, the bus services, the transport of agricultural produce, the fisheries industry and the health services would come to a standstill soon. The government’s shortsighted economic policy has caused serious damage to the country. All services in the government have been crippled and are on the verge of total collapse. Cabinet reshuffles and transfer of officials have failed to resolve the disastrous situation. It only further aggravated the crisis” He said
He further said the entire younger generation was now on the forefront of the struggle to oust the present rulers and to change the prevailing political system, and that the Jathika Jana Balawegaya was prepared to join hands with them to lead the country regardless of political differences.
