It is stated in the District Coordinating Committee meeting held yesterday that 43 places had been identified to seize the lands for the occupation of both occupying Sri Lankan Army and Navy in Jaffna District.
TNA parliamentarians showed their fierce opposition against this attempt of seizing the lands by stating that they cannot accept the attempts of measuring the lands with the intention of seizing it for the occupation of the occupying Sri Lankan military and they further emphasized that the permission to measure these lands should not be given by the Coordinating Committee. Also, it has been decided in this meeting that a report about these lands should be submitted by the District Secretariats after analyzing about it.
This meeting headed by the Co-chairs of District Coordinating Committee State Minister Vijayakala Maheswaran and TNA parliamentarian Mavai Senathirajah held yesterday at the Auditorium in the Jaffna District Secretariat.
