Attention drawn struggle fiercely opposing the CTA (Counter Terrorism Act), which is going to be newly enforced, has been staged in Batticaloa.

This protest organized by the public organizations in Batticaloa has been staged in front of the Gandhi Park yesterday.

In this protest, in which general public, intellectuals and religious leaders took part, people raised voice stating that PTA (Prevention of Terrorism Act) and CTA are not needed in this country as the prevailing Criminal Proceedings are enough to maintain the Law and Order.
