Colombo continues to be a hot-spot with 480 new infections

The Colombo District continues to be a coronavirus hot-spot with 480 new infections being reported.

Officials said that 843 new infections were reported around the country, over the 24-hour period ending at 6am today.

Of the 843 new infections the highest number of people detected with the coronavirus was from the Colombo District.

A total of 480 individuals tested positive for the coronavirus during this period while 86 people tested positive in the Gampaha District and 72 in the Kalutara District.

Another 203 people tested positive in other parts of the country while two Sri Lankans who arrived from overseas were also infected.
