An age old teary eyed mother stated that she would be in a position to commit self-immolation if the Tamil Political Prisoners do not get released.
Attention drawn struggle demanding to halt the hunger protest being staged by the Political Prisoners in Anuradhapura Prison and emphasizing to release all Political Prisoners being incarcerated in all prisons has been staged yesterday (30/10/2018) in front of the Ponnalai Varatharajaperumal temple.
People of Ponnalai took part in this protest organized by the Ponnalai People’s Union. 70-year-old V.Thavamani, who took part in this protest, stated that she would commit self-immolation for the release of Tamil Political Prisoners.
They worshipped at the Ponnalai Vararajaperumal temple for the well-being of those political prisoners who have been staging hunger protest at 5PM yesterday. Then, they staged protest in front of the temple.
Protestors raised various slogans demanding the release of Tamil Political Prisoners. An age old teary eyed mother stated that she would be in a position to commit self-immolation if the Tamil Political Prisoners do not get released.
Many including N.Ponrasa, member of Vali West Pradeshiya Sabha, T.Baskaran, the President of the Ponnalai Sri Kannan Community Center, S.Ratheshwaran, the President of the Ponnalai Sri Kannan Sports Club and the released Political Prisoner Komahan took part in this protest.
