Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa today reiterated calls for an early Parliament election, saying that is the only way the current political crisis can be resolved.
Speaking to reporters today, Rajapaksa said that the political situation in the country was a mess and the public are calling for a Parliamentary election.
Asked what his next step will be based on the ruling the Supreme Court gives on the dissolution of Parliament, Rajapaksa said that he will need to wait and see.
Meanwhile, Rajapaksa said that he does not do politics based on positions or posts.
He said that he will continue to do politics as long as he has the support of the public.
