It is reported that more than 300 Buddhist monks belonging to the South based organization visit Jaffna to get engaged in the religious rituals which are going to be held at the Buddhist temple being constructed illegally in Navatkuli.

Sinhalese have been living in the land belonging to the National Housing Authority in Navadkuli. Foundation Stone has been laid for constructing a Buddhist temple in this particular area last week.

A written notice has been issued by the Divisional Secretary of Chavakacheri DS Division stating that construction activities of this particular Buddhist temple should immediately stopped since the construction activities of this particular Buddhist temple have been started without getting the permission of the Divisional Secretariat.

Meanwhile, it is reported that more than 300 Buddhist monks are going to get engaged in the religious rituals at the place where the Foundation Stone for the Buddhist temple laid.

It is noteworthy that while the Buddhist monks are getting engaged in the activities against the minorities in the Eastern and Southern part of this country, more than 300 Buddhist monks are coming to Jaffna.

Meanwhile, one of the South based organizations that visited Killinochchi on 8th of this month have posted national flags exclusive of the colors representing to the minority people. Then, they decided to visit Jaffna but they cancelled their programme.

In the meantime, it is noted that unidentified persons shot the policemen at Palai in the midnight and escaped from there on the same day.
