NPC to decide on opposition leader next week

The Northern Provincial Council (NPC) is to decide next week who the opposition leader of the council will be.

The Eelam People’s Democratic Party (EPDP) had removed S. Thavarasa from the post but a new opposition leader has yet to be appointed.

NPC Chairman CVK Sivagnanam is expected to announce who the new opposition leader is when the council.
