TNA to consider policies of presidential candidates before making a decision

Sri Lanka’s main Tamil party, the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) says it will announce its views after the main political parties announced their presidential candidates, reported Colombo Page.

Leader of the TNA, R. Sampanthan said that he would focus on the policies of the presidential candidates before he can make a decision on whom the party should support.

“We talk about presidential candidates on political platforms. After the political parties take a decision on their presidential candidates, the TNA will express its views. We should look into the opinion of the presidential candidates,” Sampanthan said.
