Sri Lankan State plants to occupy the Mullaitivu district -Reporter for Global Tamil News-

Lands are being labeled as belonging to Archaeological Department, Mahaveli zone, Department of Wild Animals and Vadis of fishermen from South.

People of Mullaitivu district expressed their anxiety by stating that actions are taken by the Archaeological Department to appropriate the 4 km long region covering from Kokkulai, Nayaru Bridge to Komba.

Meanwhile, a stone stating that its belonging to Archaeological Department has been laid day before yesterday.

Mullaitivu district has already been occupied by the fishermen from South. They build Vadis at the Mullaitivu coastal to get engaged in fishing.

In addition, with the name of “Mahaveli L Zone”, Tamils’ lands are being appropriated.

Department of Wild Animals also marks the Tamils’ lands as the lands that are belonging to them. Privately owned lands are also come under the 4km long region starting from Nayaru Bridge to Komba junction. Archeological Department is an attempt to appropriate these lands.

It has also become known that Archeological Department is functioning in the home of Chief Monk located at Nayaru.
