8 Tamil Political Prisoners in Anuradhapura Prison have staged hunger protest yesterday (14.09.18). Demanding to speed up their trials, they had been staging hunger protest since yesterday morning.
These political prisoners were arrested in the war time on the charges of getting engaged in the terrorism activities.
All these political prisoners who started staging hunger strike are from Northern Province, according to the Prison Officers.
