The hoisted Sri Lankan national flag has been replaced with Black Flag in the University of Jaffna today which is the Independence Day of Sri Lanka. In addition, black flags have been hoisted in the surroundings of the University of Jaffna.

Today is the 71st Independence Day of Sri Lanka. Independence Day celebrations are being celebrated in many parts of Sri Lanka to mark the 71st Independence Day of Sri Lanka.

But in the north and east, the Independence Day of Sri Lanka has been claimed as the Black Day and Black Flags are hoisted and the protests are being staged.

Thus, the students of the University of Jaffna, who claimed this as the Black Day, hoisted Black Flags and they placed the banners asking “When is our Independence Day?” in the University premises.
