Youths, belonging to ethnic majoritarian, forcibly collected money from the Tamil people at Madu area have been trounced -Reporter for Global Tamil News-

Four youths from Anuradhapura, who went to Tamil homes to forcibly collect money, have been trounced.

Following are further become known in this regard;

These four youths went to Tamil homes in Mannar, Madu and Pandivirichaan areas to forcibly collect money in guise of collecting money for needy children. People of these areas, who suspected these youths from Anuradhapura, chased them to catch and then the people trounced them.

Village Officer of this area, who rushed to the scene after knowing this incident, informed the police in this regard. However, the policemen acted in a way to protect those perpetrators while intimidating people, according to the sources of this area.
