Yesterday was the 12th anniversary of the Chencholai massacre that was brutally air bombarded by the occupying Sri Lankan Air Force in which 54 school students and 4 staffs were killed. This 12th anniversary of Chencholai massacre has been overemotionally commemorated at a place in Vallipunam, where special arrangements were made in a way to commemorate.
The air bombardment was executed at a place where Chencholai Children’s Home had been running during these students were being provided the leadership training. Many including the relatives of the deceased in this massacre, political figures and general public took part in this commemorative event.
