The Human Rights Commission in Sri Lanka is investigating the incident where a youth was killed when the Police opened fire on his vehicle this week.
Two policemen have been arrested over the incident and they have been remanded till July 24.
The Police opened fire on the vehicle in Vadamarachchi East, which allegedly failed to stop at a Police check point. The 24 year old was killed in the gunfire.
According to the Police the vehicle was transporting sand without a permit.
