45th Anniversary of those who were massacred at the World Tamil Research Conference has been observed at the monument which was built for commemorating the World Tamil Research Conference Massacre.
11 innocent Tamils died since the electric wire fell on them due to the gun shots of the Sri Lankan Police committed during the Fourth World Tamil Research Conference held on 10th of January, 1974 at Veersaingham hall.
Those who were killed in this massacre have been commemorated at the monument located in front of the Veerasingham hall.
